BESPOKE WEDDING CAKE: ... Lynn and Alan's wedding cake, delivered to Elsecar Heritage Centre was a bespoke design 3 tier stacked suitcase in tan and cream with accents of mint green and navy blue to coordinate with the wedding theme colours. The flavours were a base tier of rich fruit cake topped with a tier of chocolate and a tier of lemon sponge. Lynn had a very clear idea of how she wanted the cake to look, with a handcraft sugar model of herself sitting on the top suitcase dressed in her beautiful lace gown (alongside Alan's rucksack), with Alan climbing up the side of the cake. Hand painted embellishments on the suitcases add to the overall look of this cake. I just love putting a couples' personality into their wedding cake.

PRETTY WEDDING CAKE: ... Becky chose a really pretty pink and gold theme for her wedding cake decorated with handcrafted pink sugar roses, small white blossoms and a honey gold ribbon to complement the diamante and gold Mr & Mrs cake topper. The flavours chosen after a design and tasting consultation were Madagascan vanilla with vanilla buttercream and raspberry conserve and a Champagne & Prosecco sponge with pink strawberry buttercream and strawberry conserve The cakes were covered with a layer of white chocolate ganache and white sugarpaste.

BESPOKE PERSONALISED WEDDING CAKE: ... This lovely couple came to me with quite a few ideas for their cake and right from the start it was destined to be a non-traditional cake. From the hand painted silver lustre ice bucket complete with sugar ice cubes and a bottle of cork popping champagne overflowing with sugar bubbles, to a 'mini me' handcrafted sugar model of each of them, this cake certainly reflected the fun side of both their characters. They chose flavours of chocolate orange sponge layered with chocolate orange buttercream and tangy orange curd covered with a milk chocolate ganache, and a lemon sponge layered with lemon buttercream and lemon curd, covered with a white chocolate ganache. The cake to the tip of the champagne cork stood 26" tall!

BESPOKE WEDDING CAKE: ... The couple chose a very distinctive vintage style for their wedding cake with a modern twist of black piped detail on a cream top tier and white Victoriana edible fabric effect lace over a cream double height lower tier. The cute little handcrafted birds were provided by the couple and set the cake off perfectly. The sponge flavours were Chocolate Orange, Baileys Irish Cream and Lemon Zest. Delivered to Nostell Priory.

WHITE ON WHITE WEDDING CAKE: ... Adele chose a stunning 3 tier cake design for her wedding @whitleyhallhotel with a quilted fabric effect tier and white on white stripes with bands of diamante ribbon to complete the classic design. With flavours of lemon, vanilla and chocolate it really did taste as good as it looked. Adele also provided the rose garland and lights to decorate the log base.

LUXURIOUS BIRTHDAY CAKE: ... Base Tier ~ 8" double height Chocolate sponge with Baileys Irish Cream, layered with chocolate baileys buttercream. Top Tier ~ 6" Champagne sponge flavoured with Prosecco, layered with strawberry conserve buttercream. All covered with a delicious layer of white chocolate ganache with a delicate marbled sugarpaste and royal iced drips hand painted with edible gold lustre. Decorated with an abundance of delicate dusky pink handcrafted sugar roses.

CHILDREN'S BIRTHDAY CAKE: ... Daisy is a very accomplished ice skater ... so of course it was very fitting that a mini Daisy Ice Skater had to stand proudly in place on top of the ice themed cake. 2 tier cake serves approx. 20 portions. Chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream and chocolate fudge filling. The skater was inspired by a picture provided by my lovely customer but changed slightly to represent Daisy.

NAMING CEREMONY CAKE: ... I was delighted to be asked by Natalie to make this beautiful cake for her baby daughter's naming ceremony. Such a pretty cake and subtle colour beautifully decorated with big floppy sugar bows and sugar ribbons. A pretty pair of blossom covered sugar baby shoes tops off the cake perfectly. The cake was delivered to Waterton Park Golf Club where the cake was admired by all. Original design by Emma Jayne

30th BIRTHDAY CAKE: ... Gemma was happy to 'go with the flow' on design but was keen to keep to her theme of blush and rose gold colours, inspired by the balloon arch that she was making for the garden. We decided to go with a textured Royal Icing effect edged with hand-painted edible rose gold highlights. The result was a very pretty free flow and quite organic design which was in keeping with the relaxed garden party that she had planned. The cake was 6 layers of vanilla sponge layered with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam and it seemed to go down very well with Gemma's guests
